Photographic Reproduction Orders
Photographic reproductions can be requested using the
appropriate forms, available at the distribution counter
of the Reading rooms, and accessible for downloading and
printing on this site. The Prefecture of the Library
reserves the right to concede permission for
reproductions at its own discretion.
Applicants are obliged to respect International
ownership and copyright laws for the use of all
materials.

Use for private studies
Photocopies are made only from volumes published
between 1601 and 1990, and only for use for private
studies. Requests can be submitted at the distribution
counter of the Printed Books Reading room from 9:00 to
17:00. It is preferable that the book from which copies
are being requested be submitted with the request form.

Other types of reproductions (black and white
photographs, color prints, microfilm, CD-ROM from
microfilm, etc.), to be used for private studies, from
books printed up until 1990, from manuscripts and of
objects, can be requested by submitting the completed
form at the distribution counter, or mailing it to the
Library.

Use for publication in books or periodicals
Photographic, or other types of reproductions, can be
requested using the appropriate form. In addition to
costs of the reproduction, payment is required as well
for the the rights for reproduction.

books and periodicals
Use for electronic publication (Internet, CD-ROM, DVD)
Images for temporary use on Internet, a CD-ROM or a DVD
in the formats of TIFF 72 dpi and TIFF 150 dpi can be
requested.

Use for lessons and conferences
Slides and other types of reproductions for lessons and
conferences can also be rented.
Request form for rights for lessons and conferences
For all other public uses (musical performances, musical
scores, temporary exhibitions,
etc.)
Requests should be
made in writing to the Prefecture of the Library,
specifying precisely the type of reproduction and
request desired.
